The municipal government of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province and iFlytek Co Ltd sealed a strategic cooperation deal on Aug 15 in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.

Under the accord, the two will collaborate deeply in key AI sectors to drive mutual growth. The aim is to set up the iFlytek Medical - Taizhou Medical AI Research Institute, building a recognized hub for AI-based healthcare, innovation and personnel training.

Additionally, they will advance AI integration in sectors such as healthcare, medical insurance and education – bolstering local medical services and fostering a smart education showcase area.

During the signing ceremony, the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone and iFLYTEK Medical Technology Co Ltd also signed an agreement.

They will jointly establish the iFLYTEK Medical - Taizhou Medical AI Research Institute, exploring innovative applications of AI in medical care, medical insurance and in the broader health sector.

The initiative is expected to serve the development of the healthcare industry, human well-being and the advancement of AI industry applications.
