On the afternoon of April 17, Qu Futian, Secretary of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee, met Loh Tuck Wai, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore in Shanghai, and his companions, communicated on making further cooperation of areas in economy and trade, culture, tourism and education. Yang Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Taizhou, took part in the meeting.
Qu Futian introduced Taizhou’s economic and social development to the guests. He said that Taizhou, an important area of the Yangtze urban agglomerations, is now in the pivotal stage of rapid industrialization and urbanization. It’s speeding up the construction of a creative, livable and international city in accordance with development layout of "Two Gathers One High". He hoped that the Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore in Shanghai could bring more Singapore enterprises to Taizhou, invest here, further strengthen economic and trade cooperation with both side. And he expected the Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore in Shanghai could help Taizhou to apply for the holding of the next Singapore and Jiangsu cooperation council meeting, bring more cooperation projects to Taizhou, enlarge the communication in areas of culture, education, tourism and so on, and further expand cooperation space.
