Convenient Transportation
Taizhou is located along the Yangtze River Economic Belt and is one of the 27 central cities specified in the Guidelines on Regional Integration Development of the Yangtze River Delta. In the intersection of the state-level riverside channel and the provincial-level north-south central axis channel, Taizhou is a hub city for cross-river integrated development in Jiangsu Province.
Shanghai-Xi'an Expressway, Qidong-Yangzhou Expressway, Yancheng-Jingjiang Expressway, Taizhou-Zhenjiang Expressway and Xinghua-Taizhou Expressway span the entire area of Taizhou. Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge and Taizhou Yangtze River Bridge connect both sides of the Changjiang River. Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge and Jiangyin's Second Channel Crossing Yangtze River will be completed and opened to traffic before 2025.
Taizhou has been included in the national planning of "eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railway network". The north high-speed railway along the Yangtze River, the auxiliary channel of Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway and the coastal auxiliary channel will converge in Taizhou. By then, it will only takes 1 hour from Taizhou to Shanghai, saving 1.5 hours. And it will only take 4 hours from Taizhou to Beijng. Xinyi-Changxing Railway and Nanjing-Qidong Railway run through Taizhou, with multiple originating lines leading to hundreds of major cities across the country.
It only takes 30 minutes to drive from the urban area to Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport, which has flights to many hot cities around the world. The airport has opened international routes to countries such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, routes to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and domestic routes to cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Harbin, Dalian, Changsha, Xi'an, Xiamen and Kunming.
Taizhou Port includes Gaogang Port Area, Taixing Port Area and Jingjiang Port Area. Gaogang Port Area mainly serves dry bulk and container transportation; Taixing Port Area mainly serves liquid chemicals and bulk cargo transportation; Jingjiang Port Area mainly serves transportation of general cargo, energy and raw materials.
Efficient Services
Taizhou set up the first administrative examination and approval bureau in the whole province, took the lead in transferring 88 administrative licensing items related to market access, investment and construction and other fields, launched the new mode of examination and approval of “one platform acceptance, integrated review, intensive examination and approval and one-stop management” and implemented “examination and approval by one seal”. “One-stop” enterprise establishment, acceptance of lacking administrative license, full-process agency for investment and construction projects and remote examination and approval (service) are features of government affairs services of Taizhou.
Taizhou has complete inspection agencies and is an integrated city of customs clearance in the Yangtze River Delta. It has a national first-class open port, a comprehensive free trade area and a free trade logistics center (Type B). Various financial institutions in Taizhou can provide enterprises with all-round financial services.

Element Resources
Water supply: Taizhou has a daily tap water supply of 1 million cubic meters, of which that of urban area reaches 400,000 cubic meters.
Power supply: Taizhou can realize dual-circuit and dual-power supply, with the power supply voltage from 10KV to 500KV.
Gas supply: Taizhou has a transfer station of the project of natural gas transmission from West to East China, with an annual gas supply of 1 billion cubic meters.
Heating: All development industrial parks above the provincial level in Taizhou can provide heating to meet industrial needs.
Sewage treatment: All cities (districts) in Taizhou have built sewage treatment plants. Their annual treatment capacity reach over 80 million cubic meters.
Intellectual Property
Taizhou has the first provincial-municipal cooperation mechanism of "implementing intellectual property strategy and construct innovative city" in the whole province.
Taizhou set up the first office of the public security bureau in the intellectual property bureau and intellectual property protection inspection workstation in the whole province. It also set up the first patent circuit trial court in the whole province.
Taizhou joined the patent administrative law enforcement collaboration network in the Yangtze River Delta region and developed a cross-regional law enforcement collaboration mechanism. The China (Taizhou) Intellectual Property Right Protection Assistance Center in Taizhou provides intellectual and economic assistance to individuals and enterprises in need.
Scientific and Technological Talent
Known as the "hometown of education", Taizhou has developed basic education and prosperous vocational education, which can provide a large number of high-quality professionals for industrial development. Taizhou has 7 universities and higher vocational colleges, with 165 undergraduate majors, 106 junior majors and about 70,000 students at school. About 20,000 graduates finish school from majors such as mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, computing and medicine every year. At the end of 2019, the total number of skilled talents in the whole city was 276,900, with 1,007 high-skilled talents among every 10,000 labor forces.
Taizhou has 8 national-level technology business incubators, 8 national torch characteristic industrial bases and 23 provincial-level technology business incubators. Focusing on the construction goal of “one industry, one high-end R&D platform”, there are 10 major R&D platforms under construction in the whole city, which basically cover the leading industries in Taizhou.
