Wan first visited two biomedical parks – Chengdu Tianfu International Bio-town and Chongqing International Biological City – and studied their planning, development and operations.

She was impressed by how quickly they had received national recognition. She stressed the importance of competition in the biopharmaceutical industry and the need for innovative thinking.

During the visit, the delegation also explored institutes including the Chongqing International Institute for Immunology, the first high-end research institute in China dedicated to immunology.

Wan emphasized the importance of focusing on industry advancements, partnering with renowned establishments and enterprises and planning future industries to enhance Taizhou's position in the health industry.

In addition, Wan visited WestChina-Frontier PharmaTech Co Ltd, a company specializing in non-clinical drug safety evaluations. The company has completed over 1,000 evaluations of new drugs, with over 100 declared fit for use in the US and elsewhere.

During this year's International Medical Expo held in the China Medical City in Taizhou, the company signed a contract with the city to establish a non-clinical research center. Wan encouraged the company to speed up its development of the facility.
