Special activities were recently held in Taixing – a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – to address various problems in production safety.

She stressed the need to raise the sense of responsibility and urgency among municipal departments and units.
Calls were also made to establish a comprehensive safety management system to prevent accidents.
Hua Gang, deputy director of the Jiangsu Emergency Management Department, said that safety management should be further enhanced by focusing on personnel training, risk assessments and emergency response measures.
The deputy director added that safety inspections should be bolstered and there should be regular assessments of potential risks.
The meeting also discussed the importance of strengthening comprehensive safety management and addressing key sectors.
It was emphasized that high-risk industries – like mining, construction, and transportation – should receive special attention.
Ensuring the safety of production units, promoting safety standards and improving the safety levels of small businesses were highlighted as key objectives.
