A meeting was held on Dec 13 in Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – to promote the integration and development of the Yangtze River Delta, or YRD region.
The meeting was convened by the standing committee of the Taizhou municipal Party committee and focused on implementing the objectives set by the Central Committee to promote this area of endeavor.

The meeting also studied and applied the guiding principles of the provincial Party committee's meeting to deploy the city's implementation plans.
During proceedings, it was emphasized that Taizhou needed to strengthen its integration into the YRD region, enhance integration awareness and adopt a strategic approach.
Integration was identified as a top priority, aligning with Taizhou's positioning and comparative advantages.
The goal is to accelerate integration by identifying connections, promoting integration and making breakthroughs – showcasing Taizhou's unique contributions to the overall development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
Preserving and promoting revolutionary culture was also highlighted during the meeting. It determined that efforts should be focused on the effective use of Red resources, deepening revolutionary education and fostering patriotic values within the community.
Participants stressed the importance of energetically moving towards achieving the city's annual goals and tasks. They underscored the need to maintain speed, intensity and focus on key areas.
Risk management received attention during the meeting, with an emphasis on practical measures to prevent and resolve major risks.
The integration of development and security was stressed, aiming to cultivate risk awareness and a sense of responsibility.
Priority areas included production safety and improving people's quality of living, ensuring the safety of lives, property and community stability.
