Taizhou official visits grassroots communities

Wan Wenhua, mayor of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, embarked on a visit to the city's Hailing district on Feb 6, extending warm Chinese New Year greetings to the communities. 

Her visit also connected her with experts, elderly residents in nursing homes, Party members facing difficulties and low-income households. 

Emphasizing a people-centered development ideology, Wan urged all departments to address community challenges to ensure a joyous and peaceful Spring Festival. 

During her visit to the Zhibao community, Wan acknowledged the exemplary contributions of Duan Chenglin and Cao Lijun. Duan's volunteer service station has been a pillar of support for the community for 20 years, while Cao's leadership in the R&D center of the Jiangsu Jiyuan Medical Technology Co Ltd has contributed to national scientific projects.

Furthermore, Wan expressed her care for low-income households and Party members facing difficulties. She stressed that it was the government's responsibility to provide support. 

At the Xianghe Senior Recreation Center, she underscored the importance of organizing enriching Spring Festival activities and ensuring the safety and well-being of the elderly.
