The on-site study involved examining various industrial facilities and engaging in discussions with local entrepreneurs and officials.

Wan Wenhua, mayor of Taizhou, delivered a speech emphasizing the need to align the Party and the country's development – while focusing on accelerating the development of new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions.

Wan stressed the importance of selecting development paths and modes based on what was happening on the ground, as well as on integrating scientific and technological innovation and enhancing industrial innovation.

The speech highlighted the necessity of institutional reform to improve the industrial governance system, deepen reforms of development zones, optimize investment promotions systems, as well as innovate in allocating the factors of production – land, labor, capital and entrepreneurship.

Wan also emphasized the importance of embracing real work, taking on responsibilities and striving for excellence to build a new economic development engine.

Overall, Taizhou aims to forge a new competitive advantage by focusing on the development of high-performing industries, the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies and by creating strategic emerging industry clusters with international competitiveness.

The keynote speech concluded with a call to break through bottlenecks hindering the development of new quality productive forces – and to accelerate the establishment of new production relations compatible with it.
