Wan Wenhua, mayor of Taizhou, Jiangsu, met with Anna Mohl, chief executive officer of Nestle Health Science, and her delegation during their visit to Taizhou on Aug 28.
Wan expressed gratitude to Nestle for choosing Taizhou as a production base and highlighted Taizhou's commitment to advancing the high-quality development of its health industry.
She also emphasized the vast potential for collaboration between the two parties. With an aging population, the demand for elderly healthcare in China is growing, presenting a valuable opportunity for expanding Nestle Health Science.
Wan encouraged Nestle to bring more high-quality projects to the city and to export products manufactured in Taizhou to Europe and other regions. The Taizhou government, she assured, is dedicated to creating a first-class business environment and providing tailored support for the development of Nestle's Taizhou base.
Mohl emphasized the strategic importance of Taizhou in Nestle Health Science's global operations and revealed plans to expand production lines at the Taizhou base. This expansion is to introduce an expanded array of health and nutritional products in order to better cater to the needs of Chinese patients.
Additionally, Nestle intends to export more products from Taizhou to Europe, solidifying the base as a key global supply hub.
Before the meeting, Mohl and her team visited Taizhou People's Hospital to gain further insights into the local healthcare environment.
