With the arrival of the annual strawberry picking season, comes the perfect opportunity to bring in some fresh strawberries in the Wangchunyuan strawberry picking base – located in Xuzhuang sub-district in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

There are over 10 strawberry greenhouses there, offering four or five varieties of strawberries.

Founded in 2016, the farm now has 70 mu (4.67 hectares) of open-air orchards, 60 mu of rice paddies for shrimp and crab intercropping, 50 mu of strawberry gardens and over 1,000 poultry.

Moving forwards, plans are for it to deepen relations with universities and agricultural research institutions, as well as invest in the development of traditional Chinese medicine nurseries and strawberry deep processing ventures.

It's moving to transform into an ecological leisure farm that integrates planting and breeding, picking and sightseeing, agricultural experiences and horticulture education.
