Overview: Hutt City, located at the southern end of the North Island of New Zealand and in the southern part of Hutt Valley, is the second largest city in the Wellington region. It only takes 15 minutes to drive to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. It enjoys the reputation of the first garden city in New Zealand. Founded on October 10, 1989, Hutt City has an area of 380 square kilometers and a population of about 103,000, ranking the seventh in New Zealand. The main components of Hutt's population are Europeans, New Zealand Maori, Pacific Islanders and Asians. With a coastline of 42 kilometers, Hutt City is dominated by light industry. The main industries are wool textile, paint and machine manufacturing. Hutt City is aiming to become New Zealand's leading export and economic development center, based on science, engineering and technology. Meanwhile, Hutt City has nearly 40 early childhood education institutions, more than 50 primary schools and 10 middle schools. Wellington Institute of Technology is a vocational education school providing education in engineering, construction, electrical and electrical engineering. The remote education school offers more than 1,200 courses to 34,000 students each year. There are 5 higher education institutions near the city. Citizens can enjoy some outdoor activities, such as sea fishing, mountain biking, golf, swimming, hiking and hunting.
