A delegation from Shanghai's Putuo district visited Taizhou to explore cooperation opportunities on Feb 24. During the visit, Taizhou and Putuo signed a memorandum of cooperation under the Collaborative Innovation Cities Alliance along the Shanghai-Nanjing Corridor, further expanding their partnership.
Jiang Dongdong, Party secretary of Taizhou, said that Taizhou is committed to creating a first-class business environment and prioritizing economic growth, industrial development, and major projects to ensure stable and continuous economic improvement. He hoped both regions would leverage their strengths to advance coordinated innovation, promote the commercialization of research achievements, share technology platforms, and cultivate talent together.
Xiao Wengao, head of Putuo district, emphasized the importance of joint efforts in fostering innovation-driven development, integrating industries for competitive advantages, and refining collaboration mechanisms. He called for cross-regional coordination between scientific and industrial innovation, aiming for new progress in collaborative innovation efforts.
During their visit, the Putuo delegation toured Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, the Big Health Industry Exhibition Hall, and the Peking University Health Science Center (Taizhou) Biomedical Innovation Center to gain firsthand insights into Taizhou's economic development.
